Terms of Use and Service Boundaries

Clear boundaries are part of the service. This document describes what FromCFO does, and what it does not do.

Working draft of this document. The final text will be published following legal review.

1. Nature of the service

FromCFO provides financial management and advisory services in the role of an external CFO: reporting, cash-flow forecasting, risk analysis, decision preparation and coordination of specialist partners.

2. FromCFO is not a licensed investment adviser

FromCFO does not give individualised recommendations for specific financial instruments where a specific authorisation from a competent authority is required. Where such advice is needed, we refer the client to a licensed service provider.

3. FromCFO is not a custodian and does not execute transactions

FromCFO does not hold client funds or assets, does not have disposal rights over accounts, does not issue payment orders and does not sign documents on the client's behalf. The client retains the decision, the signature and the payment.

4. Not legal or tax advice

FromCFO's analyses and recommendations do not constitute legal, tax or accounting advice. Regulated services are provided by independent specialist partners within their own scope of responsibility.

5. No guarantee of returns

FromCFO does not guarantee investment returns, loan approval, tax savings or any other financial outcome. Projections and scenarios are estimates based on data available at the time they were prepared.

6. Data supplied by the client

The quality of the analysis depends on the accuracy and completeness of the data supplied by the client or their accountant. The client undertakes to report material changes affecting the financial picture.

7. Confidentiality

All information about the client's business and personal capital is treated as confidential and shared with a third party only with the client's explicit permission or where required by law.

8. Scope and fee

The specific scope, reporting rhythm and fee are defined by contract following a diagnostic. Any figures referenced on the site are indicative starting points only.

9. Limitation of liability

FromCFO is responsible for the professional preparation of analyses and recommendations within the agreed scope. Responsibility for business decisions, signed contracts and payments made remains with the client.
